Item Description & Why This?Koehler & Mishra (2009) describe the TPACK framework. The TPACK framework provides a way for teachers to evaluate their practice by looking at where their strengths/weaknesses lie in relation to their content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge and digital technology knowledge. The article discusses each individual knowledge type as well as the interactions between each one. It was selected over other articles because of it's writing style and its applicability to not just digital writing resource choice and application, but a range of choices educators make.
Although this did not deal directly with the topic of digital storytelling, inherent within digital storytelling is a choice of resource. Underpinning my theoretical framework for resource selection is a belief that technology integration needs to be meaningful. This resource has been selected as it provides a theoretical underpinning for the selection of the resource. Many of the resources in this guide can be applied to multiple curriculum areas beyond 'English' and 'writing'. |
